July – 2017 Next stop in Virginia – Shenandoah Valley

A drive of 3 1/2 hours and we’re still in Virginia. As this move was on a work day we had to leave the campsite early and head to a rest area on the highway. The first one was full with a waiting list. Trucks were lined up on the shoulder waiting to get in, so we hot-footed it to the next and arrived just in time for Steve’s first conference call of the day. We pulled out a slide so I could cook breakfast and stayed there until the calls were over and it was safe to move on. We were now on I-81 the highway that would take us through to New York.

This part of the journey took us from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Shenandoah Valley. Such beautiful scenery.

We pulled into our campsite at Endless Caverns Resort in New Market Va. A large park with 3 Sections B – 16 sites, C – 63 sites and E – 57 sites. Again only 10 occupants

Decent AT&T 2 – 4 bars LTE.

Really big sites here. They state “most sites can fit any size unit” and they were not lying.

Old style diner in downtown New Market that served some awesome fried chicken wings (Wednesday All You Can Eat)

Old Jukebox player at each table

Chris took the Endless Cavern tour. These caverns are about 8 miles in length, although they’ve only exposed through the first 2 miles

This was a very nice campground, many walking trails, large and nicely landscaped sites.

Campground workers were extremely helpful throughout our stay.
